Lockton expands Nordic footprint

Lockton has announced the opening of a new office in Stockholm, Sweden, as part of its expanding proposition to clients in the Nordic region, serving clients across all specialty and general commercial insurance lines.

The office is expected to be operational by the end of January, with the arrival of two key hires, Linda Fihlen and Niklas Thorell, and further hires planned throughout the year.

EJ Hentenaar, Lockton’s European chief executive officer, said: “Lockton is highly invested in the region, there is incredible talent and we are thrilled to be building a team in Sweden, alongside our established businesses in Norway and Denmark. As ever, our focus is on providing an outstanding service to our clients, and the opening of our office in Stockholm means we will be well placed to bring our proposition to even more clients in the region.

“We established Lockton Norway 11 years ago, started our fabulously successful Denmark office over two years ago and, since then, our Nordic business continues to go from strength to strength. We see so many opportunities for the future and are excited to continue building Lockton in the region, with a clear focus on meeting client needs and preserving our unique, caring culture.

“Our people are very much at the centre of this expansion, and we continue to invest to attract and retain the very best talent, whilst providing the opportunities for growth that come with being part of the world’s largest privately-owned insurance broker.”
