Climate risk consultancy, South Pole, has appointed Dame Inga Beale as chair of its board.
The former CEO of Lloyd's will work with recently-appointed CEO Daniel Klier and the wider executive team to help steer the business towards it next phase of growth.
With a career spanning over four decades, Dame Inga has held senior leadership roles at General Electric, Zurich Insurance and Lloyd's of London, where she focused on strategy, risk mitigation and regulatory compliance, as well as delivering business transformation plans. She made history as the first female CEO of Lloyd's of London.
Dame Inga replaces Christoph Grobbel, following his 9 year tenure.
