Amphitrite launches cargo division

Specialist marine MGA, Amphitrite Underwriting London, has announced the launch of a new cargo division, to be led by Scott Sykes.

Sykes has more than 35 years’ experience in Lloyd’s and international markets. He has spent the last 14 years in Singapore where he most recently ran Argenta Underwriting Pte at Lloyd’s Asia.

Amphitrite CEO Konstantinos Tampakakis said: “This is a pivotal moment for us as we expand our specialist marine offering to include cargo business. Scott is a prominent figure in the cargo market and another high calibre addition to our team – his extensive experience and unique profile make him the perfect leader to drive the growth and success of our newly formed cargo division."

Amphitrite has secured cargo capacity from Lloyd’s.
