LMA appoints two new board members

The Lloyd’s Market Association has announced new board members from two of its managing agents’ members.

Vivek Syal, CUO of Tokio Marine Kiln, will be taking over from Matthew Shaw as the TMK representative, and John Owen, CEO of AXIS Managing Agency, will replace Mark Gregory of the same firm ahead of his upcoming retirement.

Sheila Cameron, CEO of the LMA, commented: “I am pleased to welcome Vivek and John to the LMA board. Their experience and perspectives will help to steer the LMA board as we continue to ensure the Lloyd’s market can solve our clients’ most complex risks.”

Andrew Brooks, chairman of the LMA and non-executive director of Ascot Group Limited, added: “I would like to thank Matthew and Mark for their contributions during their tenure on the LMA board and wish Mark the best in his retirement.”
