Ardonagh launches data and technology unit

The Ardonagh Group has launched its new global data and technology unit.

Ardonagh Intelligence will create a single view of the data and technological capabilities across the group, which now employs more than 100 data scientists and programmers, including the Ardonagh Analytics Lab team based in Mullingar, Ireland.

Group chief executive David Ross commented: “Taking the placement power of one of the world’s leading insurance broking groups, we have built a sophisticated engine to manage our US$18bn of GWP, which undoubtedly continues to be optimised by investment in the capability found in our Mullingar lab and other centres of expertise globally."

Ardonagh Intelligence is led by managing director Sami Sulaiman, and chaired by Ian Donaldson. Ardonagh Advisory Data and MI director Ian Cooper will transfer to Ardonagh Intelligence.

Donaldson commented: “It is hard to understate the transformational effect of digital insights across the businesses in Ardonagh’s portfolio. By bringing this work together under a unified strategy we can support local leaders with a roadmap incorporating the latest technologies that will have an immediate and tangible impact on everything from improving productivity to identifying risk insights and growth opportunities, while continuing to invest in the future.”
