QBE partners with Matrix iQ to enhance fleet risk oversight

QBE has entered into a strategic partnership with connected vehicle data firm, Matrix iQ, enabling the insurer to deliver enhanced risk management support to fleet clients through advanced behavioural analytics and integrated telematics insights.

The new arrangement gives QBE customers access to Matrix iQ’s technology-agnostic platform, which consolidates real-time driver behaviour data, claims performance and operational risk indicators.

“Partnering with Matrix iQ allows us to offer our customers bespoke advice on managing their fleet risk and gives them valuable insight into driver trends and potential high-risk areas,” said Jon Dye, director of underwriting, motor for QBE Europe. “This forms part of our ongoing commitment to innovation and delivering value beyond insurance.”

Matrix iQ’s platform incorporates ESG metrics, including tools to monitor emissions and sustainability performance across fleet operations.

Dylan Taylor, insurance partnerships manager at Matrix iQ, commented: “I am delighted to be launching our partnership with QBE, who share our passion for innovation. Customers will now be presented with cutting-edge risk insights that will positively affect fleet management, road safety, environmental impact, and a service with longevity and value.”

The system is currently being deployed to selected QBE clients, with a phased wider rollout expected later this year.
