OneAdvent partners with Anansi to expand last-mile delivery cover

Specialist MGA services platform, OneAdvent has announced a new partnership with Anansi, a managing general agent providing last-mile shipping insurance for retailers. The partnership will give Anansi access to OneAdvent’s regulatory, compliance and operational infrastructure as it scales in the fast-growing e-commerce delivery market.

Anansi is a UK-regulated provider of specialist last-mile shipping insurance, covering loss or damage to parcels after dispatch and before delivery to customers. The firm also has a placement partnership with Gallagher Re and underwriting support from Greenlight Re, an A rated UK-based insurer.

Megan Bingham-Walker, founder of Anansi commented: “E-commerce and home delivery have grown exponentially in the last decade. We estimate that the current courier compensation, self-insurance model costs retailers between £500m and £1.5bn per year in the UK alone. We believe our offering will become an essential product to all retailers offering delivery services.”
