Kay Burley named BIBA Conference host

Kay Burley has been confirmed as the new host of the BIBA Conference.

The Sky News journalist will chair keynote debates and discussions at the major annual event.

Burley was part of the team that launched Sky News in 1989, becoming the channel’s first female presenter. Her career has included reporting from conflict zones and world capitals, as well as interviews with figures from politics and business.

Emma Chapman, BIBA conference director, said: “We’re delighted to have one of the longest serving and influential UK presenters grace our stage at The BIBA Conference next year. With a career spanning over four decades, Kay brings a wealth of experiences both on and off screen and we’re looking forward to hearing her chair insightful debates and discussions with our keynote speakers – all of whom will be announced soon.”

The BIBA Conference 2026 takes place on 13th-14th May at Manchester Central. Registered attendees can also attend the official launch and early networking event on 12th May.
