The Chartered Insurance Institute Group has confirmed plans to relocate its global headquarters and London base to 30 Old Broad Street in the City of London from 2nd March.
The move follows the end of the organisation’s five-year lease at 20 Fenchurch Street, known as the Walkie Talkie, which expires in February.
The new office will be located in a recently renovated space designed to support collaboration, while providing a more accessible environment for members to visit and meet.
Matthew Hill, chief executive of the CII Group, commented: “We are delighted to be moving to a newly renovated office in the City that captures the energy, excitement and future-focused nature of the CII Group. The Walkie Talkie building has served us well for five years, but we were keen to see what more we could offer our colleagues and members.
"We’re excited to be moving to a building that will give us more space, more flexibility and better value for money. I am also expecting it to provide us with an opportunity to honour the memory of Brian Caruth, whose exceptional service and dedication to our professions will never be forgotten.”
The Institute was previously headquartered at Insurance Hall in Aldermanbury from 1934 to 2018, before later moves to Lombard Street and Fenchurch Street.
