Acrisure London Wholesale has entered the aviation insurance market with the launch of a specialist division.

The unit went live on 16 March, with Jonny Rowling joining as senior vice-president and head of aviation, reporting to Tom Quy. He joins from Marsh, where he was co-head of general aviation.

Rowling will lead the development of the aviation practice, focusing on expanding market reach and client capability.

He said: “I’m excited to join ALW at such a pivotal stage in its growth. The opportunity to establish and expand a dedicated aviation practice within Acrisure’s global network is an incredible opportunity. There is significant potential to deliver innovative solutions to clients across the aviation sector, and I look forward to working closely with the team to build a strong and differentiated offering.”

The division will operate alongside Acrisure Aerospace, which places risks across US, London and international markets.
