Geospatial Insight launches new wildfire monitoring platform

Geospatial Insight has launched FireWatch, a wildfire prediction and monitoring platform designed to provide near real-time intelligence to support underwriting and claims, emergency response and infrastructure protection.

The platform combines live satellite analysis with environmental data and weather forecasts to support faster decision-making and more proactive risk management. Delivered via API, it offers a baseline fire risk layer to help organisations identify and monitor exposure.

FireWatch also integrates datasets, including thermal satellite imagery, weather models, soil moisture data and historical fire records, for live tracking and post-event analysis. Updates are refreshed up to four times a day.

“FireWatch delivers the intelligence organisations need to act decisively before, during and after wildfire events,” said Paul Fearn, CEO at Geospatial Insight. “By combining Earth observation data with environmental insights, it transforms how we understand and respond to wildfire risk.”
