Signicat and WSO2 join forces on digital identity

Signicat has partnered with WSO2 to develop integrated digital identity solutions across Europe, as demand for secure and user-friendly identity verification grows.

The collaboration seeks to address the complexity of connecting to multiple national electronic ID schemes, notably the forthcoming EU Digital Identity Wallet. By combining Signicat’s platform with WSO2’s Identity Server, the firms aim to provide a single solution for cross-border authentication.

Under the agreement, WSO2 customers will gain access to Signicat’s network of 35 European eIDs, alongside future support for the EU Digital Identity Wallet. The companies said this will reduce development time and ease compliance, while extending Signicat’s reach to WSO2’s global customer base.

"Authentication for pan-European businesses shouldn't mean building a new identity strategy for every country. That approach not only slows down growth but can create dangerous gaps in security," said James Brodhurst, partnerships manager at Signicat. "The digital economy is built on trust. By adding our network of European IDs to WSO2's powerful platform, we are making that trust easy to create. We are giving businesses one simple, secure way to operate and grow across borders."
