Zurich enters Polish insurance market

Zurich Insurance has entered the Polish commercial insurance market. Targeting local and multinational corporate clients, the new branch will be based in Warsaw, and overseen by Zurich Austria under the leadership of Kurt Möller.

"We’re delighted to bring Zurich’s industry-leading expertise and innovative solutions to clients across Central and Eastern Europe, starting with Poland,” Möller commented. “Our aim is to support local businesses by providing smart, reliable risk management that helps them seize new opportunities and grow confidently.”

Rafał Tokarz has been appointed head of Zurich Austria’s branch in Poland. He said: “I’m excited that Zurich has taken a bold step to enter the Polish market. Zurich is a carrier with genuine commercial insurance expertise, as well as a track record of delivering tailored programme solutions on a global scale.

"Together with our highly qualified and experienced team – including underwriters, risk engineers and claims handlers – we will bring this proficiency and capability to the market. Quality matters, and corporate clients and brokers in Poland deserve access to the same solutions available to their international counterparts, enabling them to realise their growth potential and expand beyond the domestic market.”
