Commercial Express unveils AI-powered underwriting support

Commercial Express has launched a 24/7 virtual underwriting assistant.

The new digital assistant, Jamie, has been developed to provide brokers with around-the-clock access to underwriting support.

The new assistant is capable of responding instantly to a broad range of broker queries including risk appetite, coverage eligibility, excesses and exclusions. It can also provide information relating to claims, renewals, mid-term adjustments, commissions, remuneration and finance.

Commercial Express founder and managing director Duncan Pritchard said: “Our focus is on giving brokers more: more access to underwriting support, more capacity, more trading support and more opportunity to learn and grow. Our new virtual underwriting assistant will give brokers another, more convenient channel to transact with us.

“We have invested across our schemes and team to make sure brokers can move quickly, compete effectively and get the right outcomes for their clients. As we continue to develop our MGU model, broker experience remains at the centre of everything we do.”
