Willis expands CyMax cyber facility

Willis has expanded its CyMax Facility, a primary and excess cyber insurance facility for SMEs and middle market companies across EMEA, in partnership with Axa XL, Beazley, HDI Global and Markel.

The updated facility replaces a single insurer model with a panel of insurers and is designed to provide broader access to cyber cover, higher limits and a simplified application process. It is available to companies with annual turnover of up to €500m or CHF500m.

The cover includes protection against risks such as data breaches, ransomware, business interruption, supply chain losses, social engineering and invoice manipulation. Insureds also have access to cyber incident response and crisis management support.

Brian Vosloh, head of cyber EMEA at Willis, said: “By renewing and expanding Willis’ CyMax Facility, we are giving clients broader access to capacity, higher limits, innovative proprietary coverages and a faster, simpler route to cyber insurance.

"The use of pre-agreed pricing grids, a streamlined application process and a single vulnerability-scan subjectivity helps reduce friction for brokers and clients, while access to pre- and post-breach services offered by insurers supports stronger cyber resilience.”
