Verisk expands insurer data access to AI platforms

Insurance data and analytics provider Verisk has expanded access to its underwriting and claims intelligence through integrations with Amazon Quick and Microsoft Copilot, alongside additional capabilities within Anthropic’s Claude AI platform.

The integrations allow eligible insurers to access Verisk’s ISO Loss Costs and Premium Audit Advisory Service resources through natural-language interactions. Within Claude, the company has also introduced a Verisk Benchmark connector providing controlled access to property-level hail and wind history.

The move builds on Verisk Underwriting Intelligence, launched within Claude earlier this year, and is intended to help insurance professionals retrieve relevant information more quickly to support underwriting and claims decisions.

Saurabh Khemka, president of Verisk Underwriting Solutions, said: “In an increasingly complex risk environment, underwriting and claims performance increasingly depends on precision, trusted intelligence and the responsible application of AI.

“AI is most valuable when it helps insurance professionals get relevant, reliable information when they need it. By making that information easier to access and apply, we’re helping insurance professionals work more efficiently while maintaining the rigor and confidence they need to act on that information.”
