Marsh appoints Waterer new head of op risk

Marsh has promoted Richard Waterer to the newly created role of head of operational risk for Marsh Risk Consulting (MRC) in the UK. Waterer will report to Jeff Colburn, UK MRC leader.

Mr Waterer will be responsible for the Property Risk Consulting and Workforce Strategies teams. He will lead the development of the teams’ services, people, client and insurance market relationships, and will also be the lead consultant on a number of key client projects.

Mr Waterer has worked for Marsh for ten years in a variety of commercial and management roles, all in risk management consulting. Before joining Marsh he held senior positions within the business continuity and disaster recovery industry.

Commenting on Waterer’s new role, Colburn remarked: “Richard’s promotion is testimony to the excellent work he has done since joining Marsh in assisting our clients better manage their most complex risks.
