Telenor Group selects F24 for global crisis management

Telenor Group has extended its partnership with F24 to roll out the provider’s CIM solution as its central crisis preparedness tool.

Telenor Group is an international telecommunications company, providing mobile, broadband and TV services to over 200 million customers in the Nordics and Asia.

Audun Martinsen, head of crisis management, global business security in Telenor Group, said: “As a supplier of socially critical infrastructure, security is a very high priority in the Telenor Group. It was therefore a prerequisite for choosing a contingency solution that it is operated in accordance with the recommendations from the National Security Authority, and that data is stored on servers operated in Norway.”

”It was also important to us that the emergency response solution is flexible and can be adapted so that it reflects our organisation. With CIM, we get a platform that can cover several needs, and with the cooperative solution, we ensure a common understanding of the situation with all stakeholders and partners.”

As part of the new agreement, Telenor will adopt a Collaboration module in CIM, which offers a unique approach to connecting with other parties in the event of an incidents, as well as in day-to-day operations.

Benjamin Jansen, vice-president of sales ENS/CM at F24, added: “A specialised and dedicated solution for crisis management is becoming increasingly important for large global companies such as Telenor Group. Incidents and crises are complex enough by nature, the simplicity of a software solution to manage a crisis is therefore crucially important. The F24 solution CIM ensures that Telenor's various response teams work with the same updated situational picture.”
