Mitie achieves ISO 31000 validation

Facilities management company, Mitie, has achieved ISO 31000:2018 certification, the international standard that validates organisations’ guidelines and principles for risk management.

The validation comes following BSI’s independent evaluation process that assessed all aspects of risk management practices across the entire Mitie Group.

This achievement builds on Mitie’s risk analysis credentials, having attained the ISO 22301 standard for business continuity management in March 2023.

The CIR award-winning organisation is also supporting its customers to be as “risk prepared” as possible, highlighted by its acquisition of Linx International Group in April 2023.

Peter Dickinson, chief legal officer, Mitie, commented: “As a large organisation, we understand the importance of engraining the best possible risk management processes across our business. Attaining ISO 31000 validation is a reflection of our deep expertise in managing and mitigating risk, as well as our commitment to building and maintaining safe work environments for our colleagues and our customers.”

Founded in 1987, Mitie now employs some 68,000 staff across the UK.
