Allianz Partners to support Paris Olympics

Allianz Partners has been appointed by the Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games to provide medical assistance and repatriation during the games.

Between 26th July and 11th August 2024, some 10,672 athletes will compete in 329 Olympic Games events, while the Paralympics take place from 28th August to 8th September, with 4,400 athletes taking part in 549 events. Some 15 million tourists are expected to attend the games - potentially putting the French hospital system under significant strain.

Under the agreement with Allianz, medical assistance requests will initially be managed by the Paris 2024 medical unit, after which Allianz Partners’ teams will step in to support patients. They will monitor their hospitalisation, cover medical expenses and arrange transportation home or organise repatriation, if necessary, once their condition is stabilised.

"Allianz Partners is very proud to have been selected to provide medical assistance and repatriation cover for the Olympic family, including athletes, officials and volunteers. As a company committed to promoting sport and its values, we know the importance of providing the Olympic participants with medical cover to match their sporting ambitions, helping protect their health while providing peace of mind," said Francois-Xavier Duchateau, group chief medical officer at Allianz Partners.

“Our entire team of assistance agents, nurses and doctors is ready to deliver the best possible assistance to this exceptional group.”
