Beazley has entered the European property market, addressing the growing demand for specialty solutions in the region.
Sara Foucher will lead the new offering from the insurer’s Paris office. She will report to Richard Montminy, group head of property risks. The former head of underwriting for GC&C at Generali has three decades of industry experience.
Richard Montminy said: “Businesses across Europe need access to specialist property insurance solutions as climate risk and rising asset values are transforming the risks to which property owners are exposed. Sara’s appointment signals our intent to grow our presence in the market and her reputation and experience makes her perfectly placed to galvanise the build out of our team across Europe and I look forward to working with her.”
Fred Kleiterp, managing director for Europe, added: "Beazley is committed to growing our presence in Europe, we see increasing demand for specialty insurance expertise that can shoulder the risks of an increasingly complex and volatile environment. I am delighted that we are adding property to our expanding roster of speciality solutions, which will better serve the needs of our brokers and clients.”
