Addresscloud teams up with Smarty on US property data

Geocoding and property intelligence provider Addresscloud has partnered with address data and geocoding provider Smarty to develop a solution for underwriters that identifies property risks in the US.

In addition to improving geographic peril assessment, the partnership enables customers to link address data to detailed property characteristics at the unit level.

Commenting on the partnership, founder and CEO of Addresscloud, Mark Varley, said: “There are over 210 million addresses in the US, but underwriters too often rely on incomplete or inaccurate information to assess these risk addresses. Partnering with Smarty gives us unparalleled, rooftop-level address intelligence, but even more importantly, it allows us to link property characteristics at the unit level. This is essential for connecting addresses to tax assessor data, helping insurers and reinsurers enrich their portfolios with high-quality property insights.”

Founder and CEO of Smarty, Jonathan Oliver, added: "Providing the most accurate address information has always been a priority for Smarty and partnering with a company that values accuracy as much as we do is exciting. We’re highly invested in seeing how much higher Addresscloud’s customers can take risk assessment capabilities with exact, rooftop-level geocodes, enriched property data points and the most up-to-date address data available.”
