Aon bolsters marine expertise in Israel through Atlas acquisition

Aon has acquired the operations of Atlas Insurances Agency, one of Israel’s most established marine insurance specialists.

A Lloyd’s cover holder, Atlas serves clients with a range of cover, including cargo, hull and machinery and charterers’ professional liability. Several Atlas colleagues are joining Aon, including Ronen Hakham-Aharon and Adv. Ohad Hakham-Aharon.

Yasmin Koren, Israel CEO at Aon, said the acquisition marks a milestone in Aon’s long-term growth strategy.

“In today’s increasingly uncertain environment – characterised by volatility across trade, technology, weather and workforce – clients are facing more complex and evolving risks,” he added. “By combining strength and expertise of the two firms, we’re better positioned to deliver innovative, data-driven marine insurance solutions and highly tailored risk management strategies. This move not only expands our market reach, but also strengthens our ability to help clients make better decisions, protect their assets and thrive in a rapidly changing world.”
