EDII to add innovation expertise to CII talent scheme

The Chartered Insurance Institute has formed a strategic partnership with EDII to expand and reinforce its New Generation Programme, bringing external innovation expertise into the scheme for the first time.

The partnership is intended to strengthen the impact and quality of project work, build participants’ innovation and leadership skills, and provide structured expert support to ensure projects continue to deliver measurable value. It will also increase the visibility of New Generation work across the profession and wider stakeholders. EDII will deliver sector specific innovation learning and facilitation to support each cohort.

Commenting on the announcement, Adam Harper, director of strategy, advocacy and professional standards, said: “This partnership represents an important milestone for the New Generation Programme. By bringing EDII’s innovation expertise into the experience, we are enhancing our investment in rising talent and giving participants and their mentors the support they need to deliver projects with lasting value. The programme has always been about empowering professionals to push boundaries and shape meaningful change, and this collaboration ensures their work continues to have a long term, visible impact across the sector.”

Caroline Bedford, CEO at EDII, added: “We’re thrilled to collaborate with the CII on such an influential programme. The New Generation cohorts bring enormous passion and potential, and with the right tools and frameworks, their ideas can translate into powerful, long-term outcomes for the sector.”

The collaboration is the CII’s latest investment in developing future leaders across insurance and financial planning. The programme has supported emerging professionals for more than a decade.
