The Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund has invested in Risk Management Award winner, SmartResilience, to support the expansion of its climate adaptation platform.
The company develops climate risk analytics and forecasting tools to help organisations assess emerging threats, strengthen regulatory reporting and inform strategy. Its platform combines early warning systems, forward-looking modelling and adaptation planning to address risks including flooding, heat and water stress.
The fund joins existing investors including One Planet Capital, The FSE Group and Endeavour Ventures in backing the next phase of development. It is hoped that the investment will enhance predictive modelling, expand capabilities and accelerate deployment, with AI-driven insights supporting organisations to anticipate disruption and improve resilience.
“Climate risk is no longer a distant concern, it is an immediate and accelerating reality,” said Linda Coyle, investment manager at BEF. “Our investment in SmartResilience underscores our interest in backing scalable, technology-driven solutions that deliver strong ROI for customers and drive meaningful global impact. We are impressed with SmartResilience’s innovative approach to enabling real-time risk assessment, advanced scenario analysis and actionable decision support, empowering stakeholders to reduce losses, strengthen resilience, and drive long-term sustainability.”
Harish Pesala, founder and CEO of SmartResilience added: "We're delighted to welcome the Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund to SmartResilience's investor community. BEF brings far more than capital – their deep expertise in insurance, risk and financial services is a natural fit for what we're building. At SmartResilience, we help organisations reduce the cost of climate-related damages, manage physical risk exposure, and build long-term resilience through practical adaptation measures. Having investors who understand the financial consequences of climate risk at a fundamental level strengthens our ability to deliver that impact at scale."
