Guy Carpenter to combine UK P/C with London Europe operations

Guy Carpenter has announced plans to combine its UK property and casualty and London Europe operations under a single leadership structure from 1 January 2027.

The combined business will be led by Leon Janeke, who currently heads the London Europe team. He will report to Paul Moody, UK chief executive, and Julian Enoizi, Europe chief executive.

Dean Jenner will become chairman of the combined operation. He has 41 years of industry experience and has spent the past six years at Guy Carpenter.

Moody said: “By combining these teams under Leon’s leadership and Dean’s strategic guidance, we’re creating something more powerful: a UK property and casualty and London Europe team that brings together deep market expertise, integrated client capabilities and a clear growth agenda. This positions Guy Carpenter to compete more effectively, serve clients more comprehensively, and accelerate our market expansion in property, specialty and emerging risk areas.”

Enoizi added: “London is a critical hub for our European franchise. Bringing together our UK property and casualty and London Europe teams creates a centre of expertise and client relationships that strengthens our competitive position across the continent, particularly benefitting our Europe-based global clients. This is a strategic investment in our future, and Leon’s proven track record gives us confidence in the team’s trajectory.”
