RIMS names 2025 president

RIMS has appointed Kristen Peed as its president for 2025. Peed is head of corporate risk at Sequoia, where she is responsible for the placement of corporate insurance programmes, claims management and the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry – both broker and client-side – Peed was formerly director of corporate risk at CBIZ, and part of the risk management teams at Swagelok and STERIS Corporation. Earlier in her career, she gained experience as a commercial lines broker with a concentration in professional and executive liability at BB&T and Oswald Companies.

Peed said: “Each day risk professionals awake to a whirlwind of new and evolving risks. While the world flinches at that uncertainty, risk professionals must continue to fearlessly march toward it, focus on elevating their skills and programmes, and position themselves to drive innovation and boost business resilience.

“As RIMS 2025 president – and the fortunate risk leader to serve in this role during RIMS 75th anniversary year – my priority is to help ensure that RIMS continues to deliver thought-leading insight and powerful networking opportunities that allow this professional community to thrive for years to come."

Peed takes the reins at the US-based risk management society immediately.
