CFC has announced two senior promotions to unite its global teams.

James Burns (pictured) is promoted to global head of cyber. having joined CFC over 12 years ago, he has been at the forefront of the development of CFC’s cyber proposition and has led the business’s cyber strategy for the past two years.

In this newly created role, Burns will be responsible for CFC’s cyber strategy, underwriting and sales teams around the world.

“Our cyber team has gone from strength to strength over recent years and with CFC’s continued global expansion and new people on the ground in countries across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, we now have one of the biggest cyber teams in the market,” said Burns. “By pulling all our different cyber strands together to create a unified global team, we can ensure a consistent approach across all the territories in which we operate and ensure we continue to deliver the very best products and services to our broker partners and their clients.”

Jason Hart is promoted to managing director, Proactive and Global Security Services. With over two decades of experience in creating and developing information security offerings and services, Hart joined CFC as head of Proactive Cyber a year ago.

“Our proactive cyber and security teams in the UK, US and Australia have played an enormous role in our promise to protect our cyber clients, preventing cyber incidents from occurring or minimising the impact of those that do,” commented Hart. “There is enormous potential in the cross-geographical expertise in these teams and creating a truly global operating model will enable greater transparency, collaboration and cross-pollination of knowledge and ideas, which we believe is critical to CFC’s continued growth.”
